She also confirmed that marketing campaign on Wonder Woman 1984 will begin in December. The poster shows Diana/Wonder Woman in a new suit with W shaped neon background. Check out the poster below:
Previous rumours on the movie speculated that Wonder Woman’s Golden Eagle armour will be coming to the movies. This poster confirms the rumours as the new costume is golden.
In a previous interview with Patty Jenkins, she said:
“You know what was cool? We are treating the era differently that I have seen so far, which I feel like there are a lot of interesting versions of doing the era. In our version, as a child of the 80s myself, yes there was funny, ha-ha outfits I can’t believe I wore, for sure.”
She continued by saying:
“But there is also incredible music, incredible art, and so I really felt like the 1980s is mankind at their most extreme and at their best. It was when we could do anything at their most extreme and at their best. It was when we could do anything we wanted and we had no idea of the price yet. So we have really committed to that version of the 80s, where it’s not needle drops, and it’s not a bunch of joke. Its actually the most aspirational and elegant version of the 80s in many places.”
Wonder Woman 1984 follows Gal Gadot as the titular character in the 1980s. the movie also casts Chris Pine reprising his role as Steve Trevor, who was supposedly dead in the prequel. Fans will get to know the full details of that plot twist in Wonder Woman 1984. It also casts Kristen Wiig as Barbara Ann Minerva/ Cheetah, the movie’s villain, and Pedro Pascal.
