The very first “Oncampus” challenge of Hult Prize, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta held on Monday, the 17th of December, 2018.
The event, which saw 77 teams compete for the crown, was held at the auditorium, Center for Entrepreneurial Studies (CENTS).
The grand finale, which came up after the preliminaries, started at around 8:30am with registration of teams and balloting for the semi final rounds.
This round saw 25 teams compete simultaneously in 5 different leagues.
After 1hour and 30 minutes of pitching to the judges in three different venues and questions, 5 teams eventually made it to the final round, and were joined by one team that emerged as the “best looser” (as a wildcard entry), the main event was held in the main auditorium. The teams that competed in the finals include: Team Nexus, The A Team , Tunmbi farms and foods, Team savers, Team Rova, Team taylight.
The event also witnessed a spoken words performance titled “Now is our time” by KILIKINA and vocal performance of Timi Dakolos “Wish me well” by our very own core organizing team member, Shade Olonade (Shade Praiz)
The finals of the event started after noon, with the six teams doing justice to their pitch and intelligent drilling from the judges. At the end, “THE A TEAM” emerged the business Kings of the Hult prize Funaab Oncampus event 2018.
