1. Eat Right and Sensibly
Eating Right is one of the ways to deal with Jet Lag. Eating a high carb or fatty diet is not recommended because they can be disruptive to sleep. Taking snacks anyway is recommended.
2. Do Not Take Sleeping Pills
Taking sleeping pills don’t help in recovering from Jet Lag instead they leave you fuzzy. It’s better to sleep when you feel like sleeping.
3. Drink Water Always
Staying hydrated helps in dealing with Jet Lag. It’s good to drink water before a flight, during flight and after the trip. Don’t take alcohol before you sleep because it might disrupt your sleep and cause dehydration
4. Move Around and Exercise
Don’t just sit in a place, get up and walk around during the flight, do some exercises stretch on the plane. After landing, avoid activity when it’s about bedtime to prevent delay from sleeping.
5. Avoid Energy Drink, Coffee, Cola
Say goodbye to caffeine-heavy beverages because they are known as stimulants that affect sleep, and this will increase jet lag recovery time.
So drinking lots of water that will make you hydrated is a great way to deal with the effects of jet lag.
6. Set Your Time To The Destination, You Are Going
Change the time on your watch when you get on the plane to the time of your destination. Let’s say for instance you’re going to Dubai from Lagos, and you need to set your time to that of Dubai once you’re on the plane. Doing this makes you psychologically aligned; it helps you to know what you will be doing in the place you are going.

7. See A Doctor
If any of the above strategies did not work for you, seeing a doctor might be the best thing. Your doctor may prescribe medications to take to help.
